The 'Chasetown Cross Stitch Group'  meet every other week at the 'Old Mining College Centre' in Queen Street, Chasetown, Burntwood, Staffordshire.

The
was originally built in 1912 as a training college for Mining Engineers to work in the local coal mines.

As the pits closed the building was left empty for many years until

the late 1990's when local people decided it would make an ideal centre for use by the community.

The Old Mining College is funded and sponsored by the Burntwood Chase Partnership, Lichfield District Council, Burntwood Town Council, The European Union's Rechar II Programme and English Partnerships.
